These needles are VERY fragile! When they say "flexible," they are NOT kidding! Basically it's just a very thin wire that is bent and twisted together to form an eye and a needle. The good thing about needle ears, however, is that you can bend them into any shape you want pretty easily. However, the only thing I would recommend them for is straight, simple strands. They are definitely not strong enough for weaving. But at least I know now. They're reasonably priced and at 50 in a pack if you lose the one you use (which I do almost every time!) there's always another to get.
