Review on 🔒 Proven Performance: Prosoco R-Guard Joint and Seam Filler for Superior Waterproofing and Air Sealing by Aaron Fowler

In the introduction to this review I would like to say that I was very pleased to try this product. I figured I could get great results in less time than traditional impregnation methods. I live in Lakewood, Colorado, which means 50% relative humidity is rare. As this product is moisture curing it means it takes forever to cover even if I spray it from time to time. My recommendation for anyone using this in a dry climate upgrade/replacement situation is to be able to close/secure the window opening before beginning work on the product and read the TDS sheet , stating that the product may last longer. than 12 hours to heal. Also, washing with this product is solvent only, so order some extra attachments for your sausage gun and buy disposable tools. Given the limitations, I don't know if I will use this product again. Traditional firmware is cheaper, faster, less messy, and probably just as good, IMO. I replaced windows in a brick home before using a method similar to this video (https://www.finehomebuilding.com/2012/06/19/how-to-flash-a-window-rough). -opening-in-an-existing-brick-wall) and found it EASIER than using this messy product. My only concern is adhesion to my existing sheathing, although regular caulking tape had good initial adhesion, so that's probably not an issue. If I lived in a climate where it hardens faster I might be able to sell it a bit more. It worked great and seems to be stuck in the building for the rest of eternity. I'm sure it would be great too, but expensive, for a new build. If I didn't have to wait half a week to get my window I would probably give this one 4 stars. The price alone makes 5 stars unworthy. I was going to buy this locally but my local supplier wanted me to have arms and legs for this stuff so I'm glad I found it here. This seller is well priced but still expensive compared to traditional flash methods. The product wasn't as far as I had imagined in terms of range. Buy more than you think you need.
