Review on 🔧 ACDelco GM 214-1105 Vapor Canister Purge Valve: Top-Quality Original Equipment Component by Bob Walters

Vehicle: 2007 Chevy Equinox Purchase Price: $21.57 Vehicle Trouble Codes: Unrecorded; A couple of times I thought it had codes but they cleared and the engine light went out. Vehicle Symptoms: intermittent rough idle; more often after refueling; Starting difficulties are even rarer, but once it struggled to start with an almost empty tank. Mostly the symptoms appeared above 3/4 tank. This part seemed the most likely cause as the problems were related to fuel level in the tank and temperature changes that could affect the vapor pressure in the fuel tank. Installation was easy. The car started clean after installing a new part. And he seems to be off to a good start. Driving the car also felt a little smoother, especially when stopping and accelerating from stops. This is only day one so I will continue to monitor and update this review if the issue is not resolved. It really stinks. There are no trouble codes, but the rough idle persists. This usually happens after the first start and ride; may take longer to roll over on restart and exhibit a rough idle/hesitation after coming to a complete stop. Right now I'm looking at the O2 sensors and the MAP sensor. I give 5 stars for this part. It fits well; easy to install; works as advertised. Update 8/18/18: Just drove to San Diego on 8/17. 3 trouble codes recorded: P0404, P1779 and C0561 including Service Stabilitrak and Service Traction Control. It seems to be a known issue. All errors are a possible consequence of P0404 - EGR valve position error. I would order an AC Delco AGR but nobody can deliver it to me within a week. So I bought a BWD ($70) EGR valve from O'Reilly and just installed it. A few short rides and I don't see any symptoms. I don't think it's a clogged manifold or a faulty PCM circuit. The real test will be the trip back to Northern California. Update 8/20/18: Just drove 20 miles on the highway in San Diego. The engine indicator is off. Idling at stops is solid. No jerking when accelerating from a standstill. The problem seems to have been solved. Update 8/25/18: Just completed 470 miles, San Diego, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area. No questions. The car drove very well. No return to rough idle, hesitation after stopping or engine light.
