The stand adjusts to different heights and angles but I keep it on it's highest height so I can see it wherever I am in the room. Had given another similar version to our grandchildren for Christmas and a shorter version for my husband's desk. Had been using a free plastic adjustable flimsy stand that fell apart all the time but appreciated the freebie. After a while couldn't take it anymore. This stand is very sturdy, heavy, cups the phone securely and I love the no slide grid behind where the phone sits. So happy I treated myself. Thank you Ocyclone for a outstanding product.
