They are much easier to hold onto the crampon than the cone. I've had three cats spayed (two had bumps) and this was by far the easiest to put on and take off. She didn't like me putting it on, but you stick your head in, tense your neck, and stick your legs through the holes. Velcro on the back has a strong fixation. I bought it in pink and purple so I can switch it up halfway through. The back legs were also wide enough that I could take her to the side and check how the cut is going without removing it from her. The material is a bit thin. The first day she made a hole next to the velcro but it lasted 10 days while wearing it. She's a master at getting rid of anything she doesn't like, but she hasn't gotten rid of it for days.
