Nice set of planets.

We got this for our 4 year old girl for her birthday. She thinks they're great! My husband and I are happy with it too. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: * You can either glue them to the ceiling because they are flat on one side OR you can buy a second set and they can be glued back on so you can hang them with strings or make a mobile. For this reason, you can buy a second pack - depending on the effect you want to achieve. * Be prepared to go to your local craft store and buy some clay. The glue that came with them was terrible and they all fell over. Poster putty is perfect for them and they are safe now - a cheap and easy fix. * The sun is very small compared to the planets - only about twice the size of Jupiter. * The surface of the planets is textured to show exactly what each planet looks like, but this is not visible when the lights are off and they are glowing. It looks like a bunch of round disks of different sizes and one with rings (of course Saturn!). It's not surprising and we didn't feel it took anything away from him - our daughter certainly didn't mind! *You must expose them to an artificial light source before they start to glow. The desired effect was not long in coming. The glow doesn't last all night, but we didn't see that as a problem. The child would love it if Pluto was included. There is something very appealing about a dwarf planet for a small child, and excluding it because it is small seems like the opposite of creating something for children.
