We have a beach house and are constantly looking for durable sandals that don't get sandy and are easy for my 7 year old to slip on and off. These sandals wash great and the velcro is still sticky after weeks of beach play. My son comes in a pair, he carries them home from the beach for storage and back. They have thick soles when we go hiking while climbing and I was afraid they would slip off his feet at first because you really shouldn't walk in sandals. However, I am very comfortable with how sturdy they are on his feet.
