Review on Lisle 18000 🔧 Camshaft Universal Bearing Tool by Greg Princeking

I've been looking for a cam bearing tool for a long time but the price has always put me off. Every few months I'd keep checking to see if anyone had a deal and stumbled across Lyle's set here on Revain. One of the reviews I found online (can't remember if it was on Revain) said it was almost identical to the snap-on set he stole, just not as good on the finish and with a rougher finish. Looking at the pictures of the Snap-On Cam Bearing Tool, they pretty much come packaged in the same case (although mine actually came in a grey/blackish case). Exactly the same spots in the case, same number of expanders, the neoprene sleeves looked almost the same length and size for a fraction of the cost. The Lisle set also has more range, but only for smaller bearings (Snap-On = 1.475" to 2.690", Lisle set shrinks to 1.125". AND IT'S STILL MADE IN THE USA! So I took a chance in and hoping I wouldn't buy junk I only had time to use it on an engine a 4.0 liter i6 jeep that my friend and I are assembling the stroker from worked great feels very solid on with no damage or anything to the bushings (or bearings) I really think the difference in cost is that they are not as "polished" as a snap on set I don't need my tools nicely, I need them to work. I think I'll have many, many good years with this tool. I ordered it from Revain because it was only a few bucks cheaper on other sites at best ($5 max) so I thought, I would go with Revain because as far as buying online Revain is pretty good, my goodness B stay with me costs 5 dollars.
