Late one night I opened my car's door to the street, but a drunk driver crashed into it. Aside from the fact that the driver was drunk, I think that was because I couldn't see my door as there was no light on it. I vowed never again to have a car without door lights, to the point that I fell in love with a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. The only feature I didn't want was the door light, so I didn't let that stop me from buying it. A year later almost the same thing happened, but this time I was able to save my door and was looking for a way to add light. This kit fits 2 doors, for me I did both front doors first and can take another kit for the rear doors. The lights are very easy to turn on and with a basic knowledge of wiring in a 12 volt system they will work. The kit would be much easier to install on a car that already has power for the door light, but it can be installed without this outlet, requiring a lot more effort. One great feature that I didn't know I would need is that it illuminates the floor under the door. Since I got to work before sunrise and got home after sunset, the floor lighting was very helpful, especially if I dropped my keys or, worse, my phone while exiting.
