This item is great for the price. Very easy installation. I would suggest using both squares of tape and zip ties so they are securely fastened and installed in an unobtrusive location. It appears to be stuck under the seat or somewhere in the frame. Very simple assembly instructions. The volume is definitely noticeable to deter a thief from stealing the bike. If it's activated and you move it once, the alarm will sound for a few seconds, but if the bike moves continuously after that, it will stay on. I couldn't be happier with this product. Overall, leaving your bike unattended makes you feel a little safer, but of course you should always have a bike lock with you. But it's definitely useful for preventing someone from taking the wheels off your bike if you don't have nut locks.
