The first thing that confused me was the power requirements. Despite using a 1A USB socket on the battery, 2A on the laptop and 0.5A on the TV to power the dongle, the TV screen kept warning about connecting to a 1A power source. Next problem concerns the connection with Wi -Fi. Network. The instructions provide a default IP address that is only available from time to time. This is an attempt to connect through the PC. Then on Android I tried the suggested app which contains adware and asks for location permission. This strikes me as an infosec risk for a number of reasons! Finally, when I connected to the IP address to access the settings (e.g. to change the default password, and even then I'm not sure if this helps, in an attack with IoT devices not hacked to become), the waiting screen appears (firmware loading?) blocked my computer. When I disabled the key I decided to access the settings to see if it was a 5G connection and found that the app had been deleted on my phone. . Really weird stuff and the only screen mirroring I could adjust was choppy. Return item, I got a much better quality and no fuss with a long HDMI cable.
