Review on Denso 471 1434 A C Compressor by Alex Barnes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best OEM replacement in Air Conditioning

First I bought a NEW non-reconditioned Chinese A/C Compressor. It was utter nonsense and it didn't work at all. I wasted time and money (Freon) on this garbage. I saved about $100 at first, but with work it was money lost. Save yourself the hassle and just get a Denso unit, it's the OEM for the Mercedes/Freightliner Sprinter. NOTE. I checked mine for oil and followed the instructions and found that there was no oil in my Denso compressor. Get an 8 ounce bottle on page 46 and add about 5 ounces to your compressor. Note that residual oil remains in the system. I'll say this, I hear a slight buzz when accelerating with the air conditioning on. Something I never noticed in the original unit, but everything seems fine and the air conditioning is blowing cold. I will update this review if anything changes. At the time of writing this article I have driven about 1000km on it.

Pros
  • Weight: 11.75 lbs
Cons
  • Not bad but...
