I bought this to fit on our Square D 200A main panel. Attaching took less than thirty minutes once I had all the details. This is a great product but the instructions are vague. If you order a mounting kit, it makes sense to install it inside the main bezel. On the square D-plate, the black wires are attached to two studs between the main switch and the busbar, and the mounting bracket itself is attached to the neutral busbar.
