First, turn off your internet connection on both your router and modem for at least 5 miles. to be safe and wipe the entire network. Then turn it on and follow the instructions. Then it would be simple and straightforward, as described. Otherwise, for some reason, the device won't show up and if it does, the pairing process won't complete. However, the above applies to almost all of these devices in the price range. It looks like they all use the same network chipset. They even work with apps from other companies. Once set up they work great, work with Alexa and are a good device. Especially in old houses where there are old wiring without a neutral wire. So this should work for most deployments. Love it! :)
