I gave 2/5 because I removed SOME makeup so I can't say it didn't help. Not many, but some. I don't wear a lot of makeup - I just use regular mascara (it's not waterproof) and nothing else. I bought these wipes to eliminate the need for additional chemicals. This item (although very soft) dries EXTREMELY in even a few puffs. So now I have very dry skin around my eyes that needs even more makeup remover to clear. In my opinion this product was a disappointment and not worth the money. Perhaps they are good rags for cleaning the house.
