You can never have enough scissors! I know I always seem to stumble upon a pair in our house that are forgotten when I least expected them and then when I really need them they are nowhere to be found. It's annoying! On top of that, we've had some that have aged quite a bit and some have just disappeared, so yeah, it's time to get a new pair. **Tip: There is an easy way to sharpen dull scissors. Take a strong sheet of aluminum foil (or fold a regular sheet in several folds) and make dozens of cuts in it. Each cut should be slightly different, some use a full cutting motion with the entire blade while others make shorter cuts closer to the tip of each blade. They get sharper with every cut! First impression of Fiskars: thin and light. Durability seems to be an issue. Will they continue? The blades are painted bright black and the handles are comfortable in your hands, so that's a plus! After several uses - cutting ties, paper and cardboard - there were no problems. They work on par with the very last pair of whiskeys I bought about a year ago. Appearance: 5 Sharpness: 4.5 Durability: 3 Comfort: 4.5 Value: 5 Overall: 4.4 Final thoughts: I would buy again at any time. Longevity is still an issue (let's see how they hold up) but we're happy with them! -- UPDATE: 6 months later --- Still working, no problem.
