They've been around for a while but didn't find a need for them until my last car purchase. The car I recently bought has both the long reach windshield and rear window so I needed help. They're fairly durable, with an expanding metal handle. In the description on Revain's product pages, I couldn't find any description of whether the handles were metal or just looked like metal. They are metal, apparently aluminum. They are easily stretched and, once tightened to a predetermined length, remain at that length during use. The microfiber weave heads stretch snugly over the base and stay in place during use. They can be easily removed for washing. I've found that nothing cleans glass better than water, maybe with a little vinegar and a microfiber cloth.
