I bought two vests for my 9 year old granddaughter in her school colors because she always has trouble with coats. She will either take off her coat at school or not put it back on during the long bus ride home, or she wears it all day so she doesn't end up looking for it. Day. . The vest works great during these fall months because she doesn't usually take it off and these vests are perfect. They're made of lightweight fleece, bright school colors, and fit her perfectly. She usually wears small but based on previous reviews I ordered them medium and they fit great. I wouldn't recommend them for warmth if you're hiking in Maine, but they're perfect for our North Carolina fall and winter.
