I used this to replace a key cover on a 2011 Buick Regal. I watched a youtube video to help and then realized that my version is a bit different and complex in different ways. The original laser cut key didn't quite fit the new pivot (the spring-loaded part released by the knob) and the old pivot was a different size than the new one, so I had to fit the key into the new one. , which required a little grinding of the original key's small indentation to fit the bolt. My Dremel tool and the right attachment did it in seconds (not much!) which would otherwise have resulted in some other dodgy grinding and fiddling. The lid also opens and snaps back into place, after which it doesn't feel secure. If it becomes a problem, I'll seal it. Fixing with a screw would be a better design.
