I love the color of this dress, the shade is a deep rich blue that is really vibrant, and even after washing this dress it is still deep. The fabric is thick and a little heavy but not in a bad way, more like the fabric is thicker and can be worn easily without adding a slip. The fabric doesn’t have the breathability that other fabrics do, but the dress has a loose fit and that helps to compensate. This doesn’t really hold wrinkles as bad as I thought it would, I washed it out and it sat in the dryer overnight, but the next morning I pulled out and hung it up without ironing it. By that evening my daughter was wearing it to church and It wasn’t really wrinkled much. There is a huge benefit to the heavier fabrics that way.The fabric doesn’t really stretch, aside from the chest, so the dress can fit a nice range of sizes. The dress can also add a belt to give a more contoured fit, but I didn’t care for the way the fabric bunched and the belt seemed to keep rising higher. The dress does fit a little large, but that is the style of the dress I wanted, so it doesn’t bother me. The only real part of the fit I didn’t care for was the width of the neckline. I love a square neckline, but the corners of this dress cuts so deep that it makes it challenging to hide undergarment straps. This is a minor thing, but it is a frustration that I have with some of the necklines like these.
