I needed a new flat iron, something that would make my hair smooth, silky and frizz-free. I had high hopes for this hot tool after watching reviews and videos. Unfortunately, it generally doesn't flatten well and doesn't fit close enough to the root. I have a short pixie cut and blow dry with a round brush after showering. I always end up with a frizzy mess, especially in the front. I tried this hair straightener and it didn't work at all. Not only did it not help with frizz, it left my hair dry, brittle and not soft at all. I'm not sure if it's due to the temperature (I used the hottest setting), the plates, or just the general rectifier, but it didn't smooth nearly as well as other rectifiers I've tried. It may be better on wavy hair, but I would NOT recommend it on coarse and curly hair.
