basic functions work as stated by other users. The difference is that the micro SD port is badly soldered and the last 3 pins have no contact to the circuit board. This will result in the micro SD port not working and the USB-A port for flash drives not working until the micro SD card is removed. After removing the micro SD card, the USB-A port works well with a flash drive. Files must be at the top level of unorganized folders to play. Just a large muddled collection of MP3s over a few days. Where content isn't shuffled, it's no fun being stuck in an album you don't need but keeping it in the house for someone else by pressing the next button until your thumb hurts. Makes the Bluetooth option more attractive, giving you more control over what's being played with your smartphone. Bluetooth worked great, it was very easy and fun. I really liked Chingrish. The sound was clear and the volume was just great. I have to deduct 2 stars for the poor micro SD card connection and the lack of a shuffle function. I would have deducted an extra star for the broken part, but to be honest I had no intention of using this feature. As soon as it was in my hands and I was handed a 32 gig micro SD card my thoughts changed. Numbers, that would be mine.
