Review on Grey Hazel Beoplay H8 Wireless On-Ear Headphone with Active Noise Cancelling from Bang & Olufsen by Jerry Frey

That's great. Since then I've been a bit skeptical about buying them.

This is amazing. I was a bit skeptical about buying them as I prefer in-ear headphones, but I'm glad I did. They sit comfortably on my head and stay in place even when walking. Sometimes if I lean forward quickly they move a little, but not enough to bother me. I mostly wear them to the office and after a full day I usually forget I'm wearing them. Very light and comfortable. I've found ANC very useful when working near one of our very noisy analyzers, but you don't need it for typical office noise. I've tried ANC on both commercial airlines and private jets. I found its performance on a commercial flight to be excellent. It's not designed to completely drown out the noise of aircraft piston engines like an airplane headset, but it works well and you don't have to crank the volume all the way up to hear it. If you're really just looking for a quiet headset with active noise cancellation and aren't concerned about sound quality, then you're better off with a full-size headset like the Bose QC35. We have a Bose QC35 and while they are a bit lighter and have better ANC they feel cheap and I don't think they sound as good as the H8. I don't see the price as a negative because I bought them when the price went down and just because they're out of your price range doesn't mean they aren't good headphones. I agree with some comments that it deserves a better case for the price, but the case is made of soft microfiber that can be used to wipe the headphones. I have not been gentle with these things and after a year of use the bag has no scratches or damage. Likewise, the battery life is still great and the leather isn't worn or stained. The only feature I might find negative for some people is the touch controls. I use my phone for most controls, but for people who like to control from the headset, these gestures aren't as intuitive as the buttons or work when the headset is wired. That being said, it takes less than 5 minutes to figure out how to start/stop, toggle ANC on/off and skip tracks. The volume gesture is a little more complicated, but there's nothing that can't be understood and quickly mastered.
