The flickering is more like a strobe light and the sugar is mush

Candied White Birch Flameless LED We're getting ready for the holiday season in my house. While it's not quite Halloween (at the time of this writing), we're already on the lookout for a new crop of holiday decorations. We really liked the rustic look of these candles, so we gave them a try. We don't have a lot of suitable Christmas decorations, but with a candied look, it pairs well with a variety of holiday themes. The platform is a piece of real wood. It's a nice touch. Candles have both a constant on mode and a 6 hour timer mode. We prefer the timer because then we don't have to turn it on manually every day. *Things I didn't like*: These things make UNSPORT. By simply rolling them out, about 2 tablespoons of "sugar" fell off them. I ended up rubbing down each candle and the edge of the wooden platform to remove as many of the crystals as possible. But they still lose 20 or 30 crystals next time I take them out. The LEDs are set to flicker (to mimic the actual burning of a candle I believe) with no option (I found) to turn them off. Two of the candles were *ok* (the flickering wasn't too annoying, but neither looked like a real flame), but the third was bright enough to feel like a mini strobe. If someone prone to light cramps looked at it, I would imagine it could cause one. * Verdict: * It's a beautiful set, but it just can't get over its flaws. Huge clutter and flashing lights make this difficult for our house. Two out of five stars for a good idea with rather poor execution. I would not order this again.
