Update: I've noticed a major flaw in the magnet cable, it's the magnet itself. This cable is for indoor use only and should never come into contact with outside debris or the ground. Because there are magnetic microparticles in the dirt and the particles become a mini abrasive. Any attempt to remove these particles in the way you would expect from a clean magnet is very difficult and will most likely abrade the metallic charging area. I tried vacuuming by pulling them together with a magnet using paper technology. I was able to disable most of them but it was useless because then the magnet on the other side making the connection would just pull the particles back up. I'll probably still use the cable for home and car charging, but my multipurpose iPhone will stay in the car or at home for now. Disappointing as much as I love the idea that this could be the perfect charger. —————— I like this cable as the only reason I buy new cables is because one of the ends is worn out and therefore the contacts become horrible. Therefore, any good cable, even an anchor, is bound to break after certain bends. Not very good in terms of long-term investments. This really solves the issue of extending the life of the cable as this is going to be my bed's main use anyway. Also, cable friction is likely to eventually wear down these lines. I even plan to buy another set to have in the car. Even with connection problems, with any electronics, rubbing alcohol is your best friend. Simply blot both connections (where the contacts are) and wipe gently as the bottom tip is exposed to the elements so should be clean if the charge isn't even. I had stain issues and after removing the stain with alcohol there was no problem.
