I bought a humidifier because the northern air is very dry and turning on the heaters in winter makes things worse. Did you know that experts have proven that you get sick more easily when the air is too dry? I feel much better when I humidify the air, breathe easier and sleep better. If the air gets too dry you can also electrocute your entire house, which usually indicates the humidity is below 30%. I also bought an acurite brand moisture meter as I always want to know where my humidity is. Just for reference, if you can keep the humidity between 40%-50% MAX, you will have a happier life. I've had this humidifier for 2 years now and I can tell you right away that the durability has been pretty good so far. . I bought it for large rooms so that there is an exit if needed. The tank holds up to 1 gallon of water and is very easy to fill. Simply lift the container from the base, turn it over, remove the lid, fill completely, put the lid on, put the container back on the base. On first use you will see many bubbles as water fills the lower tank where the transducer is located, creating ultrasonic vaporization. This device comes with two attachments. Directional nozzle and 2-way nozzle. Use a directional nozzle when installing this unit near a wall, you obviously don't want to spray water vapor onto the wall. When using in an open area where the clearance around the unit is at least 3 feet, use the reversible nozzle to increase flow. In addition, the on/off button also adjusts the flow rate. Depending on how bad the humidity is, use 50% to 75% flow for small spaces. When using in large rooms, maintain 100% flow unless water begins to form around the unit and on the surface, then turn off the flow. That's why I highly recommend using a moisture meter. I like being able to know where my humidity is at all times. I don't want to go over 50% as it gets too wet. But I also don't want to fall below 30%, but rather stay at a good average of 40%. It's also nice to have a meter in the summer because we don't need the humidity so I can keep an eye on the humidity while running the 2 AC units. In addition, this device has an LED lighting mode. You can choose up to three colors and turn it on by pressing the touch sensor button just above the flow controller. I want the max flow to have a higher velocity than him and have more thrust into the air. But for what it does, I'm very happy with it. This device is also fairly easy to clean. I use filtered water from a Britta mug so the deposits don't stand out too much. When you use tap water, you only breathe in unpleasant water vapor and shorten the life of your device by making it more difficult to clean. With filtered water, I really only have to rinse once a week and clean the sensor with the brush that came with it. And a final cleaning with 1 cup of distilled white wine vinegar with mostly aqueous solution before storage. Keep your device clean and you shouldn't have any problems. I can only recommend, 5 STARS! UPDATE January 7, 2019! I wanted to let everyone know how this humidifier works. It's 3 years old and still works! I know it's hard to believe when we know how quickly everything is dying these days due to planned obsolescence. I now have a humidifier running as the humidity dropped to 34% after the rain stopped and I decided to start humidifying. The unit is still in pretty good condition, I have some discoloration in the transducer area due to wear and tear, I don't think there's much that can be done about it other than cleaning directly with vinegar. vinegar to a full tank of water in the tank to clean it. I just left it on for 30 minutes and then cleaned. Well if the deposits forming that yellow stickiness are really bad the vinegar treatment will at least break them down so they loosen the bond then you can pull a paper towel through the hole to clean the bottom in the tank. . Again, I cannot stress enough the importance of using filtered water. Company advertising always lies to consumers and makes them believe they can use tap water. Sure, but if your tap water is as hard as ours, it will contaminate your humidifier so damn fast you'll have to clean it every day! At least, filtered water, e.g. B. from a Britta jug container, the cleaning time to at least once a week and then to at least 1 or 2 vinegar cleanings per year of use. Cleaning with this product is important for your health as you want to breathe the clean moisture in the air, but please don't bother with tap water. first 2 years of operation. One thing I've noticed over the years is that the colder the water, the longer it takes to get going. We keep our Britta jug in the fridge because I don't like drinking room temperature water and when fresh cold water runs into the car it takes a while for the moisture to build up steam to full strength. But this machine does a really good job of increasing the humidity in the room. What I like about it is that it is energy efficient. Since we have used so much electricity for heaters since winter and I am grateful for the low consumption of the device. Every time you have a heater, it consumes a lot of energy. That's just one of the reasons I dislike steam humidifiers because their working elements use a lot of energy. And cold humidifiers use transducers that create ultrasonic vibrations that vaporize the water instead, with a built-in fan forcing the vapor out. I still highly recommend this humidifier and give it 5 out of 5!
