Works great on my Lincoln LT 07

article worked great here to share some tips to ensure you install correctly and save time on installation. Removal First off, I was able to install this for my truck without removing the rush. I just removed the radio and left out the glove box. You should have an 8mm ratchet wrench to make it easier and save time. If you have a flex key, this might be better. You have 3 screws holding the part in place and the problem is you have minimal clearance to remove. I had to put one hand in the radio compartment and the other in the glove compartment to find my way around. Installing a new block can be tricky, and you can mess up the position of the new part, causing the switch to not work. I made the mistake of plugging in a new derailleur without installing it and that caused the cog to spin and go astray and it didn't work properly. So I had to reinstall the transmission. So first use the old gear to get the vent in the right position for the new switch to fit in. Below the switch you will see an arrow pointing to the gear. If you look closely, you'll see that the part where the tooth is missing is facing the arrow. This means that it is in the starting position. To get the same position on the AC vent I used an old gear to position the vent door. I put the gear shaft in place and rotated it so the new switch and AC valve were in the same position. I think it should be in the cold air position by default. Once I was sure everything was aligned I put in the switch and a screw to hold it in place, tested the AC and found it working properly. One thing I'd like to do is spray some silicone on the air conditioner vent to make sure the vent flaps swing open. Move the switch to the default position. You plug it in like I have to do to reset it. Open the switch, there are protrusions on the side, use a flat-head screwdriver to open. Once open, remove the top gear and rotate the gear shaft to align with the arrow. Place the smaller gear on top and close it and return it to its original position.
