Review on SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch Active2 (Aqua Black, R820-44mm) 📱 with Bluetooth, Silicon Strap, and Aluminum Bezel - International by Wiktor Redziski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

The choice fell on this particular watch due to its low price in this segment (I managed to it at a promotional price - about $ 215 for this version). The closest compeor to them for this price is Huawei watch GT2, which loses outright in terms of smooth animation and work with a Samsung smartphone (after all, the Samsung ecosystem plays its role here). Before proceeding further, I will note that I use this watch simply as an accessory and as a companion watch, and not as a fitness tracker, so everything related to the sports component will not be described here! Let's start in order: Functionality - it's easier to name what cannot be done here, namely, play media files from instant messengers; view a specific message if there are not one, but several, etc. In general, this is not critical, and if your task is simply to be aware that something has come to you, then this will do. Also, in the watch, with such features as camera control, calls and player, voice recorder, calculator, reminders, etc. , there is no such b thing as notes. Why is that? After all, the watch has a built-in keyboard and it would be very convenient to write something quickly or dictate, so that later the note would be synchronized to the phone. But no, at best, you have to use a voice recorder instead. The system shell - yes, maybe it won’t be ideal for someone, but it’s enough for me that it doesn’t freeze, doesn’t lag, and when working with it, the FPS doesn’t decrease, as in Chinese counterparts, and let us sacrifice the time of use, but I personally am ready to endure it. Since we smoothly got to the battery, then a few words about it. With active use with the included sensors, the battery lasts for a day and a half. With my use (turned off geolocation, AOD, heart rate measurement and auto-detection of workouts), they are enough for me for more than two full days (from 100% to 20%). Continued in the comments

Pros
  • - Design (subjectively); - Functionality; - System shell; - Battery (for my use case); - Synchronization with a smartphone (samsung s9).
Cons
  • - Original strap; - Fragile (the screen is not protected in any way and it is better to immediately buy some kind of film or protective cover for them); - Inaccuracy of the pedometer; - No pulse oximeter; - Lack of full customization and deep variability of settings. More about everything in the comments.
