I can't comment on the water resistance yet as I haven't tested it. But judging by the sensations, I think it will do a great job of diverting water! In terms of pockets, it has the usual two outer back pockets / one on the inside of the left chest / and one on the inside of the left hem. UNLESS you use an inner lining that adds another inner left ribbed pocket and an inner right pocket for a phone. The phone pocket will fit a 3 inch wide phone (barely), but no more. Also the quality, the price, the feel, everything is AMAZING! There's no reason to buy a $200-$700 jacket when this brand offers the same quality, if not better, at a MUCH cheaper price! Oh and the neck pad, they weren't kidding when they said it wouldn't scratch your neck. . Feels super smooth.
