I needed a large rag for a project of painting the stairs in my house. I'm very careful when painting (I'm a bit compulsive about that) but of course I wanted something that would protect the carpet on the stairs. This fabric was large enough to cover the entire staircase and was folded to provide two layers of protection and ease of handling for me, but I was disappointed that a drop or two that landed on the fabric leaked through. and got paint on my carpet. I'm planning on replacing the carpet anyway, but that seems to make putting a rag worthless.
