Review on Schwalbe Extra Bicycle Presta 1 5 2 35 by John Destruction

Excellent lightweight tubes that fit a variety of tire widths. I've used them on my touring bike that has clocked several thousand miles on a solo tour of the US and Canada in 700 x 32 Gator Skins and 700 x 42 Travel Contacts. I've had a few flat tires and found that these tubes have a sort of white power that both slows leaks and marks where they occur, both on the tire and tube! I've never had to fix a flat tire on the road because the leaks were slow enough that I could inflate the tire every hour or so, and finding the puncture and whether it was still in the tire was always trivial. the object that created the hole. Excellent! as the British would say. These tubes, used in the Gator Skin tire on my front wheel, also made for a very comfortable ride. Also important to me is that they have interchangeable Presta valve stems. I had to replace the tubes because I damaged the stem while inflating the tires on the road. Note added in late May: I kept these chambers as spares and the first time I used one, it leaked overnight. When I removed it for the tire and checked, I found the leak was in the valve. I have ordered several replacement valve cores and replaced the core in this one. The leak is gone. These are great tubes but I will test them before using them in the future!
