Although the styles of some of the garments described in this book may seem 'dated' this is an excellent book. Patterns are basic patterns that can be modified with a little imagination, allowing you to make things as simple or whimsical as you like. The real value of these Kerstin Martensson books is in the instructions they give. She shows you step by step very clearly how to do everything and gives some basic tips on how to modify these patterns to get an almost unlimited number of clothes. has multiple sizes, usually from S to XL, so you can make things not only for yourself, but also as gifts for mom, daughter or friend. The only thing missing from this book, which is a shame, is a basic bra pattern. Included are patterns for classic panties and high-waisted panties that fit me perfectly.
