In January 2004 we bought an MFC 8220. It has served the whole family well as a scanner, printer, fax machine and telephone. Two kids used it in high school and college. My wife and I used it for our small business. It's my fault it broke. We thought we'd look for a new all-in-one because we thought technology had gotten better. We need all the features of the MFC 8220 and after two weeks of shopping we found that in all these years nothing has beaten the MFC 8220. We have bought another MFC 8220 and hope it will last for many years to come. The only thing that can be improved is to upgrade it with a color scanner. Black and white and grayscale are acceptable for most applications.
