You need some really good scissors to cut and trim the shapes you want. I spent a good half hour cutting it. It was a good use for the bottom of my large table that scratched my floor, but it was damn hard to cut into a crescent shape. But no, if you just need something for the legs of your furniture like chairs etc, it's better to go to the Dollar Tree because they just sell round ones like that and you don't have to sweat cutting out the shapes. You just fill in the little details you need. BUT. If you need larger items to cover more space and also leave some space between the furniture and the floor, this is definitely the best option.
