I took this on a sailing voyage. It didn't pack down small enough for backpacking but I only needed to transport it to and from the boat so that was fine. We were in 30 degree weather and I needed to layer up + use toe warmers. Once I found the right combo I was warm enough. I don't think it's rated for subfreezing so wasn't expecting to be warm enough anyways. I mainly bought it for the sensory feeling of the flannel. I hate the slippery sleeping bag material and didn't want to bring a comforter. This was the perfect in between. Didn't need a sheet and it folds down pretty small.
