The colors are bright and easy to use.

I like these. They are cool. I ordered four of these - Fun, Pinwheel, Metalextra Alchemy and Autumn Pastels. Fall pastels are chalk colors, I wanted to try them all! -- and I should get it today. The colors are bright and easy to use. I had no problems drying it. Of course, I didn't use them in large amounts, just the usual amount. I tried letting them dry on their own and using a dryer (recommended) - with and without embossing - worked. I have to say that Metalextra colors work best with embossing (as recommended). To try it out, I embossed the bee onto black paper using some bright colors. I used a cosmetic wedge to remove the paint from the triangle and then applied it to the stencil. It turned out great. The darker metallic colors look best on white or almost white paper (as do light colors) and the 3 lighter metallic colors look best on black or darker paper. Regular ink stamps don't work well with black, but pigment ink works well with darker colors because it's color. I put 3 bee pictures and 3 lighter metallic colors on black paper. You can see that the darker metallic colors don't show up as well on darker paper - maybe if they were embossed!? NONE of the metallic colors in these two photos are embossed. Now I've tried them with a gel medium. You MUST use gel stamping. The bee came out great, but the slick metallic colors smudged a bit, but not too much. So yes, embossing. I will buy more.

Pros
  • Individual stamp pads can be removed from the base for single use
Cons
  • Big and chunky
