Update: I bought some wall anchor hooks from Walmart and ended up hanging the cat bed. The kittens love it. One of them is a bit difficult to balance and get off as the base is quite wobbly but they love their new perch. I'm sure my black kitty will try to chew through the ropes hanging below. I love how it looks like a cute tapestry decoration and something fun for cats too. I didn't like spending the extra $7 to replace hardware. but it happens. First check: The hardware in the kit was defective (the middle part of one of the screws is upside down). I'm not sure what I'm going to use to hang it now.
