Just put them on my race car trailer. Put new tires and decided to replace the nuts. The OEM ring nuts on the trailer had a strong steel center with a thin plated cap. As you may know, these caps are prone to damage and deformation, preventing proper socket placement. These nuts are made of strong, solid steel. What I love about these nuts: * They're one piece, one piece plated steel. No wafer-thin cap.* They are longer than OEM nuts. This is important as it ensures a better fit of the bushing on the nut when loosening/tightening the nut. I have aluminum wheels and the nut recess provides a tight fit for some sockets.* Hex size 3/4" like OEM. This facilitates the installation of the socket. I wanted to replace them with another brand of 13/16" hex nuts. This larger hex required a (seemingly) larger socket, which also didn't fit in the recess.* The threads on these nuts are well made. All the nuts on my trailer , 24 total (four wheels, six per wheel). Spins smoothly. And I had no problem tightening them to 100 ft-lb, which is the spec for 1/2-20 nuts on aluminum wheels. Not crazy about: * I needed 26 lug nuts total (four wheels, six per wheel plus two for the spare) As they are sold in a box of 20 I was forced to buy two boxes which gave me a lot of spares that I (hopefully) never need Having just installed them I can't comment on durability.Because they are mounted on a race car trailer they don't get frequent exposure to inclement weather and salty winter roads which would cause corrosion. Also the trailer is used r stored in a dry garage when not in use. I will update this review if anything changes while driving my trailer with these nuts.
