My pup figured it out in less than 2 weeks and consistency has been the key to success! I no longer have to follow a puppy to see if he's sniffing...now he'll go straight to the door, ring the bell and go outside to pee or poop! My only complaint, and it's tiny, is that they don't snap securely onto the base. The cat hit me a few times. I use 3m quick release strap on the windows as I know I will have to raise the bell higher as it grows. I also like that the bell is loud, so being placed in the middle of the house makes it easy to hear from most rooms. I used to use hanging bells but the scratching near the door was insane and you had to be there to hear the bells. The perfect product if you want to make life easier for your pup.
