Review on πŸ”₯ Stay Cozy with the Oster Heated Pet Pad by Claudia Corpus

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good, but not the best out there.

The Oster heated animal pad is the third electrically heated bed we've tried and in many ways it was the least successful. We bought this bed for our Aussie Terrier who sleeps in our room. I thought he would like it on cold nights. However, dogs are more likely to sleep lying down or curled up. Fred likes to curl up and doesn't seem to like this bed. And he seems to quickly overheat and leave. So when shopping for a dog bed, first determine whether your dog prefers a round bed with side walls or a longer, flat bed. I don't blame Auster for being picky about Fred. The main disadvantage of this bed for us is that it has to be plugged in and unplugged every time. The two electric cat beds in our unheated garage stay plugged in and only turn on when cats are on them. This is a big plus. Anyone shopping for warm beds should also consider ones that include "emergency blankets". They reflect the pet's heat and are much safer to use. Three Stars: It's a good size and works well, but at this price point the heating element should turn off when the pet gets up.
