A few years ago I bought a box of prewound bobbins for another machine and it gave me a headache. So it was quite a disheartening thought to try the pre-wound coil again (on my new machine). That's why I was looking; I wound a bobbin myself on my new machine and was disappointed with how quickly the bobbin ran out (it didn't fill the bobbin like it did on my previous machine). Constantly changing roles in the middle of small projects won't make me a happy camper. This prompted me to contact Revain for a solution. I found this 25 pack, read the reviews, then searched for another brand and read the reviews. I weighed two sets of reviews and decided to try this brand (both brands also sold them in 144k boxes, but I didn't need a box that big). They arrived FAST! So of course I had to try one right away, although I was a little unsure of what to expect. Well they are AMAZING! This first coil runs smoothly; no knots, no nests, no jumps, no hopping, no problems at all. And it seems to have about 3 times more thread than my machine wound spool. They are full of carvings, also from side to side. I have made two projects and there is at least 1/3 of the thread left on the spool. I don't mind winding my own coils as I've been doing it for years. However, the higher thread count combined with the convenience makes it a big winner for me. I am very happy with this purchase.
