Great drone and excellent value for money; good company in terms of customer support

I have had this drone for about 2 weeks and have some experience with it. In terms of value this is a great purchase and I am very happy with it. The EIS function works great and the 4K pictures are beautiful. There is no gimbal like on more expensive drones. I don't care, but it's easy to tell when the drone turns or changes position. My primary purpose is to fly for fun, not for commercial photography or filming, so think about your purpose. Of course you pay a lot more for a 4K gimbal and they are much more sensitive to shock. Flying is great. One of the features that drew me to this drone was the controller. It has a built-in display with battery level, GPS and signal strength. It can take photos or videos simply by using the buttons on the controller, meaning if you just want to go for a quick flight you can do without your phone. So you can start quickly. I like the unlock/lock button and the one button unlock. Autoland works but I think it can actually follow the phone. I haven't tested it yet, but upon my return I noticed that if I back up on deck, the drone steps back on entry and I have to adjust when it lands. If it followed the phone's GPS signal when auto-returning, that would be pretty cool. Or it could be just a little difference in return location. Climbing up a few feet is pretty typical for the return-to-home feature. This device uses the Ophelia Go app. There are several critical reviews for the app and it has a rating of +-3 in the store. Most of them are related to connection issues with the drone. I have found that it is due to the settings of the phone. *MAKE SURE* that Wi-Fi settings > Automatic switch to mobile data are disabled! I checked and it looks like this is the setting causing the problems. This makes sense when you think about it, as the drone doesn't provide an internet connection, so the phone turns it off. The app is not to blame. In general, I like the application. It's pretty simple and easy to use without the 10 pages of disclaimers like the DJY Fly app. 3 clicks and you are in the system, everything else is intuitive. One feature I was excited about was the digital zoom. It's a bit small to use, but very handy for getting a little closer to your subject. It's not always possible to fly closer safely, so it's really valuable. One feature of the app that scared me a bit was the responder. Here click and click on the map where you want the drone to fly to and then it will follow this flight plan. I "believe" that it actually uploads to the drone after you click "Send". I had an experience with this where I took the wrong direction and the drone actually did what I told it to do. The problem was that I couldn't get the controller to cancel it. Maybe an application had to be undone, or it's not possible, but I'll stay away from it until I understand better. The drone itself has a solid and very durable construction. I had a small problem: my camera kept moving after I released the button. After a bit of troubleshooting it looks like it was the controller and all I can say is that Holystone's support has been incredible. They worked with me via email to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Every time I sent an email, I received a response within a few hours. I always got follow up emails signed with the person's name (no emails) and they ended up taking care of the issue for me. I'm really impressed by this level of personal service at this age. It made me believe in both the brand and this particular product.
