Did not keep the temperature of the food. As directed, add water from my Breville Tea Maker at 200 degrees for 10 minutes before adding hot microwave food to the container. It was 7:30 in the morning and by midday it was barely warm. Should have thrown it on a plate. I bought 2 of these and first poured hot water from the kettle to heat the thermos, then emptied, poured hot water back in and covered with a lid. I wanted to see if it could keep the water hot enough for at least 4 1/2 5 hours. no I think I'll use it for something cold, although I can't see how this container would have enough salad, maybe just fruit. I bought for soups. Given the reviews, most seem to have bought it for their kids, so I'm sure the temp will be fine for them. This adult is wrong. I would not recommend as the description says the food is hot. The only positive thing is that it's small enough to hold almost more. It would be fine for a child, but I don't know that removing this cover can be problematic.
