I bought model #36271, about which I wrote a positive review. However, I suspect THIS device. Model #36271 "Battery Minder" is also a battery charger and has been proven (according to my 36v golf cart) to successfully "desulfate" batteries. That's a lot more money, but gets the battery to "float" voltage and then stays at the stored float voltage. This thing is meant to harmonize with the active alternator. It does NOT have its own outlet. This outfit alludes to the creation of "random frequency ripple" when driving a car. 36 volt car? Hm? With the golf cart, of course, nothing happens when it comes to charging while driving. I don't know of any 36 volt machines with a generator. The military typically only uses 24 volts. It also claims that "better fuel economy can be expected". This is done in a roundabout way through "sulfation reduction".
