When I put this particular cartridge in my printer, I followed the steps I normally do - printed a page alignment page (which looked different than ever ), place it on the printer to ensure proper orientation, and then print that page as well. Both sides had a triangle with an exclamation point in the middle, and the instructions, which are usually found at the bottom of the page, are indistinguishable at all. I tried different troubleshooting settings on my printer (HP Envy 4500) and the results were the same. The print is so light that it cannot be seen. I put the old cartridge back in and there was enough ink in it to say it was printing black and there was some ink in it. I can only assume that this cartridge is defective.
