These "Mobility Chews" came tightly sealed and clearly labeled with a "Best By" date indicating a shelf life of proximately 1 year. They are suitable for all dogs over the age of 12 weeks and the dosage given (number of chews) is based on the dogs weight. The chews fresh (soft & and moist), and have a strong meat like odor to them.It's difficult to measure their effectiveness (dogs can't talk), but I can tell you that my bulldog puppy (8 months) would not eat them, and she'll eat just about anything that hits the floor. That said, my other 2 dogs (Miniature Schnauzer and Cockapoo) liked them.
