My parents had a grandfather clock made by the Amish in the early 2000's. The clock was reset at least 5 times and stopped working. Someone also tried to "fix" the problem along the way. When I was finally done with the non-working clock, I went to work rearranging the hands, adjusting the pendulum, dusting, and filling the wells with oil. It was a long process BUT the watch was working properly again. I'm sure this oil helped!
