I hesitated to make this purchase as I was trying to use an adapter that went from a micro USB female to a USB male, which I didn't know if it was just for charging or data transfer and/or the OTG function to use the Seek thermal camera connected via micro USB and the OTG function that came with my old phone, which only used micro USB worked fine to my new phone which only uses USB C. And trying with that my new phone didn't even recognize the device. And I was concerned that my device was designed specifically for Micro-USB connections and might not work with a USB-C phone at all. , and plugged it into my USB-C phone, my phone immediately recognized my thermal camera, ran the software and worked great. I cannot guarantee you the same result on another device. But in my experience, this adapter not only has the ability to transmit data, but it is also compatible with OTG devices.
