I tried it in my kitchen first and although it was quite flimsy it was quite good. As for the stickiness, I feel like it could be a little stickier, but it's still good. Then I tried it on my mantel and I liked the result. It's a fairly gentle attempt to even it out and is BEST done in small patches and is easier to work with and manage, especially if you need to pick it up and reapply it. I hope this works for you and I highly recommend it. However if you are thinking of a high traffic area like the kitchen I am not sure I would recommend it, I live alone so I know what it is and how it reacts to things. So if you have a busy kitchen, say no. but if not and you live in an apartment like me and want to change the ugly meters this is the way to go.
