I bought these pins because of the great price - and to begin with there wasn't a single pin in my house. I need them now that I'm over 65 and not as agile as I used to be. Anyone who downgraded this product based on the length of the mounting screws should be ashamed for not reading the Amerock installation guide (pdf) available on this page (see product specifications above). This explains very clearly the required screw length for the different housing thicknesses. My cabinets were inexpensive when new and worked great with the screws that came with them. I just had an issue with a set of double louvered doors in my 1.125 inch thick laundry room. Luckily, after a little searching and installing some washers, I found that I had the perfect length screws. I decided to only use the handles on these doors if I had extra ones. So now I have these handles on every drawer and door in my kitchen, two bathrooms, the laundry room, and I've even replaced some of the old blackish handles on the small dresser. inexpensive upgrade! Just measure the thickness of the places you want to use them!
